Maldictus

I'm probably going to be considerably less active in the following weeks, if not next couple months. Between my fiancee moving in, to moving apartments, then my wedding itself, with whatever little social gatherings thrown in between, I won't have as much time to read stuff and respond as I normally would. That being said, I'll still pop in occasionally, probably update TheWriterGang archive every so often, but I won't be around to give feedback or reply to stuff as often as normal.

Wishing you all farewell for now. I expect some epic art to look through when I get back.

Creating this journal as an archive of TheWriterGang videos, as they're produced, and a means to share Chen's other work. I'll update it periodically based on when I'm around. For now, here's the first official reading, coupled with one of Chen's personal works.

Edit #1: The newest videos will be showcased as embedded vids, while prior videos will be shown as links, to prevent the journal from becoming too cluttered and hogging resources as it loads.

A neat group has recently come to my attention and I figured I'd share it, for those who may be interested.

More or less, aside from the usual option of submitting your work to their gallery, the group offers to trade the reading of your literary works for the willingness to share the videos of one of its admins (also focused on writings). I personally think it's an intriguing and fair concept, as it trades exposure for exposure, and helps both you, the admin, and the group, all grow. That's the gist of it, but for a more detailed description, this is the explanatory video from the page:


I would highly suggest checking it out, as I believe it's a good opportunity for all involved, and shows support for fellow artists.

If you too find value in the premise of this group, please share it, so that others too might learn of the opportunity it presents.

Not that it's a terribly big deal for anyone, I imagine, but for those who noticed I've been gone (not that it's much different, with how rarely I post things xD) and wondered where I disappeared to for the last couple weeks, I figured I might as well put down a short explanation.

The last couple months for me has been rather busy, with lots of traveling and social events. That kind of thing wears me down quick. So coupling that with my compulsion whenever I log on DA to read through all of the 150+ poems/short stories (not to mention god knows how many visual art deviations) that find their way into my inbox every day or so, I managed to burn myself out a bit, resulting in an unexpected hiatus. So for those of you who I frequently fav/give feedback to, sorry I haven't been around for a while. For those who I've said I'd check stuff out for and haven't gotten back to yet, you have my apologies as well. It's all still on my list of things to do, I just need the time to mellow down and cultivate the right mindset for it first.

In conclusion, I'll still be around on occasion to interact with people, but I'm gonna keep it a bit less often to prevent myself going back into a state where I'm reading so many deviations it feels like a chore.

Sorry to those who have been commenting to me or I haven't thanked for favs/watches recently. Been out of town the last few days, so I've paid minimal attention to DA. I'm still gonna be gone for a while, so I won't be getting back to much of anyone very often, except when I find little breaks in things to sit down and make replies/send thank you's.
